Some Kind Of Wonderful - original artist: The Drifters, 1961. Rudy Lewis was the Drifter's lead singer on this one, according to wikipedia. He also sang "Up On The Roof", which I do as well for The Plastic Dolphins.
What A Wonderful World - original artist Louis Armstrong, 1968. This is Louis Armstrong's signature song for the last part of his career. This song and "We Have All The Time In The World" are both on my long list.
Behind Closed Doors - original artist: Charlie Rich, 1973. This is country but it also crossed over into pop. "The Most Beautiful Girl" is on my playlist as well. It's a pity there aren't enough songs for a tribute act.
Don't Close Your Eyes - original artist: Keith Whitley, 1988. This has become a "modern country" classic. I also do "When You Say Nothing At All", which is on my long list.
She's Not You - original artist Elvis Presley, 1962. This is one of the pop tunes from Elvis's middle period. I like all of Elvis's music. I've probably got enough Elvis songs for a tribute act now.
The Sound Of Silence - original artist: Simon and Garfunkel, 1964. I've dropped the key on this one (from Ebm to Cm) in order to make it work with one voice.
